Staff Charter

Barfield Prep School aims to ensure that all staff feel valued, supported and respected in their working environment. 

Through planned programmes of continued development, we want all staff to have the opportunity to develop their full potential, to feel encouraged to contribute to  new ideas and solve problems and to strive to improve in our offering to pupils and their parents. 

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MANAGERS:

● Be aware and understand the importance of safeguarding and supporting  pupils and act on any safeguarding concerns 

   immediately; 

● Take responsibility to find out the information you need to fulfil your role; ● Take an active interest in improving your own 

   performance through  reflective practice; 

● Express ideas and concerns in a proactive and positive way; 

● Work in ways that safeguard the health, safety and welfare of yourself and  others; 

● Develop and use new skills and knowledge to improve your work; ● Recognise each other’s differences and treat each other with 

   respect; 

● Strive for success in everything that you do and be flexible in supporting the  changing needs of the School; 

● Be well presented at all times.
